I played Rocket League with Neymar 🤯

In today’s newsletter:

  2. "Never boo Ronaldo again" 😂

  4. Last call to get your content reviewed by me!

Let's get going 👇

Something absolutely mental happened last week - I got invited to play on Neymar's team at the esports World Cup in Saudi Arabia!

It was honestly unreal.

Neymar's not just one of my favourite players ever, he's actually my favourite stylistically. We filmed together years ago & it was so sick that he remembered me. We had a nice catch-up.

Not only is he an incredible player, he's also one of the nicest & most humble guys you could ever meet.

I'm grateful & honoured to have shared the stage with him.

This whole experience just hammered home the endless possibilities that come with sticking with social media.

One of my favourite things about being a content creator is that every day is a new adventure & you never know what a week will bring. I find this unpredictability so exciting.

Side note:

Look, I know the grind of growing your social media + business might not seem like it's delivering results right now.

But trust me on this - showing up day after day after day, constantly learning and improving your skills - these things compound over time.

Before you know it, you'll be looking back and thanking your past self for not giving up.

Some interesting things that happened at the event:

  1. I saw how much Saudi has changed since I went last almost 10 years ago.

  2. It was my first time gaming in front of a live crowd.

  3. Had a gamer creator called Musty who gave me great tips on Rocket League. He's a big Rocket League content creator.

  4. Sat next to an Al Hilal fan on the flight there, we got talking, was a fun convo, I got her to agree to never boo Ronaldo ever again at games 😂

Oh, and get this - I had 10 minutes with Neymar.

Made six videos. Averaging one every 1 minute & 50 seconds.

When you film with big players you are always on the clock, so it’s so important to make every second count.

I had to work fast but also create an environment where they feel comfortable enough to show personality & have fun.

Efficiency is crucial but also making sure they enjoy the shoot & ultimately have fun.

If they have fun, the content is always better.

More videos coming soon - keep an eye out!

If you ever find yourself in a situation where you're filming a collab but you're short on time, here's my best advice to make it work:

  1. Prep is everything. I can't stress this enough. Know exactly what shots you need and what the final videos should look like before you even pick up a camera.

  2. Keep your gear simple and reliable. You don't want to be faffing about with complicated setups when you're on the clock.

  3. The vibe you create can make or break your content.

    1. Break the ice—have a chat, share a laugh, make your subject feel at home.

    2. Keep your filming space chill. Minimal crew, minimal equipment.

    3. Keep the energy positive and fun. If they're enjoying themselves, it'll shine through in the final product.

Remember, when people are relaxed, they're more likely to show their true selves, which makes for content that's proper engaging and authentic.

Now, speaking of content...
