Why you need to post on multiple platforms:
I've seen how much thought and effort you're all putting into your content.
Your replies, your questions, the wins you share - it's clear this community takes creation seriously.
And that's exactly why I need to talk about something that's been on my mind.
With all this news about a potential TikTok ban, it's got me thinking about how many creators put everything into one platform.
All that work, all that creativity, all focused in one place.
I get it.
When something's working, it's tempting to double down on it. I've been there.
But after a decade+ of creating content, if there's one thing I've learned, it's that platforms come and go.
The rules change. The algorithms shift. Sometimes entire platforms disappear overnight.
Remember Vine?
I saw incredibly talented creators lose everything because they hadn't built anywhere else.
All their hard work, their audience connections, their momentum - gone in an instant.
This isn't about TikTok specifically, but protecting your work generally.
About making sure all the effort you're putting in has more than one place to live and grow.
I wrote a detailed newsletter a while back breaking down exactly how I repurpose content across platforms. If you haven't read it yet, now would be a good time.
It teaches you how to make your content work harder for you, how to adapt it for different platforms and how to build multiple audiences simultaneously.
But beyond the technical 'how to' - this is also about mindset.
You need to view your content as valuable assets that deserve to exist in more than one place.
You're all creating amazing things.
I see it in the examples you send me, in the questions you ask, in the success stories you share.
So, I want to make sure you're protecting that work.
Building somewhere to take your audience if things change.
Creating stability for your content’s future.
That’s all for today.
I know this is different from our usual breakdowns, but with all this TikTok news, I felt it was important to get this message out there.
Hit reply and let me know if you’re posting on more than one platform right now - I'm curious to see where this community is focusing their energy, and if you’re diversifying already.
Oh and last thing before you go, I wanted to give you a quick update:
Starting next week, we're moving from two newsletters per week to a single, value-packed edition every Thursday.
Something I want to test out for a little bit.
Chat next Thursday,
Jeremy
